Pro surfer Brett Barley says how much he loves coming to the event.“I get joy out of seeing they’re stoked and encouraging them to pursue what they love doing. And even if it’s a contest, encouraging them that it’s fine to lose. I grew up losing a lot and that’s just part of it. You’re not always going to win. But that’s always the goal,” said Barley.Barley says he loves seeing the community get so involved and loves getting to surf alongside with the kids who look up to him.
