first_imgLadysmith residents were treated to a great combination of comedy, music, dancing and fun on Friday night at Mount View Lodge as part of the Bhangra Fusion Party. It truly was a night of family entertainment, with top comedian Karou Charou getting the evening started with some hilarity to set the tone for what would follow. Karou, known more for his risky adult humour, involved the audience in his performance by calling up all the children present at the event and asking for representatives from their family to join the kiddies. The representatives of each child then played a game of ‘Mummy Making’, where toilet paper was provided and it was a battle of who could wrap their partner the fastest. It was a tightly contested affair, as the audience was called upon to applaud the one they felt was the best. The participants were generously allowed to keep their toilet paper as a prize after the game ended. The children then showed off their dancing skills, with Karou Charou as dance master. The little ones were treated to gifts for being ‘good sports’.Once the short programme was out of the way, the floor was open to the many guests as the DJs kept the party atmosphere buzzing with toe-tapping tunes.A fun-filled family night indeed!
