Shopping centre gives back for Easter

first_imgWebsiteWebsiteWebsite WebsiteWebsiteWebsite WebsiteWebsiteWebsite Through the promotions offered, Ezakheni Plaza generally works with the local community NPOs, NGOs, schools, crèches, homes and orphanages, placing a lot of emphasis on homes, orphans and the disabled. It was no different over Easter when the owner of Xclusive Beauty, Asief Kharva, sponsored cash to be used for charity.Plaza management looked around the Ezakheni area and chose six organisations as recipients of gifts. Seeing that winter is fast approaching, the idea of microwaves seemed to be best so that the children of the area will receive warm food, tea and milk, etc.For Easter, the Plaza planned the ‘Early Egg-Citing Easter Promotion’ on Saturday, March 28.Lindokuhle Crèche, Thembelihle Crèche, Samukelwe Crèche, Idamu Prim Crèche, Sibusisiwe Home for the Disabled, Isisekelo Somphakathi Orphanage and the community were invited, together with some other schools, to come and have a day of fun. The turnout was great and it was a huge success. The children arrived in their numbers, singing and dancing their hearts out.A lot of the children at these organisations are orphans. After the items were handed over, they were treated to snacks and refreshments. The tenants at the Plaza opened their hearts with sponsorships, and gifts were shared with the kids and the community as well. The little ones of Gqama Prim also took part and were a great inspiration.A fun-filled day was enjoyed by all – what better way to give back to the community of Ezakheni and surrounding areas! Thank you to the sponsors and everybody who made the function a success.last_img read more
