Share Sharecenter_img Share Tweet Lamar Odom (Photo: AP)NEVADA, United States (AP) — Former NBA and reality TV star Lamar Odom was hospitalised after he was found unconscious Tuesday at a Nevada brothel, authorities said.The Nye County Sheriff’s Department was called at about 3:15 pm to Love Ranch in Crystal, Nevada, about 70 miles outside of Las Vegas for a report of an unresponsive man needing an ambulance, Sheriff Sharon A Wehrly said in a statement.Odom was stabilised and taken to Desert View Hospital in nearby Pahrump, the statement said. Officials then tried to have him airlifted to Las Vegas, but he was too tall for the helicopter that was available and he was driven by ambulance to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.There was no further word on Odom’s condition.The emergency call came from Richard Hunter, media director for Dennis Hof, who owns the Love Ranch and other brothels in Nevada, the sheriff’s statement said. Hof did not immediately reply to a request for comment.His hospitalisation was first reported by TMZ.The 35-year-old last played in the NBA in 2013 and saw reality TV fame through his four-year marriage to Khloe Kardashian.last_img read more

25 teams to battle in PMSA 7s challenge

first_imgSoccer Twenty-five teams have been confirmed to participate in a charity event in the Port Moresby Soccer Association 7s challenge that is expected to kick off this weekend. PMSA president Joseph Ealedona said he was happy there had been a positive response, adding there has been some minor changes to the categories which will now see only men’s and women’s categories. He said those that have registered for only mix category can have men and women teams while those that registered for a men’s team only can have a women’s team and vice-versa at one registration cost only. He said it was because only a few teams registered for the mix category. The challenge will kick off with the first games at 8am. Teams will be slotted into four pools for the two categories. The draws have been put out in the PMSA face book page while teams can check early on Saturday morning at the Bisini Grounds. The PMSA will observe a one-minute silence at kick off of the first games in respect to the passing of two long time PMSA players and officials late Richard Sios and Cafu Clement Anison who passed on last week.last_img read more
