Man United flop needs oxygen after 36 minutes of football

first_imgFormer Manchester United midfielder Anderson may have thought he had put issues surrounding his ballooning weight and poor fitness behind him, but they came back with a vengence, with the Brazilian being hauled off and needing oxygen after just 36 minutes in a clash for new side Internacional. To be fair to the 26-year-old, he wasn’t the only player to suffer, as Internacional laboured to a 3-1 defeat at 3,600-metres above sea-level against Bolivian side The Strongest, but even by his standards, it was a worrying example of how much he has fallen in recent seasons.Prior to leaving Old Trafford, Anderson’s reportedly wild lifestyle and lack of professionalism had become a point of contention both in Manchester and back in his native Brazil, and while Internacional offered him the opportunity to rebuild his career, life back in South America didn’t start too well, with the midfielder missing a penalty on his debut.last_img read more
